Why are we doing this?
Good question. Furniture Friends exists because several years ago one man saw a need among international students studying at the University of Arkansas. He felt God leading him to do something about it. So he started collecting furniture and delivering it to students after work.
Years later, several invested friends and a local non-profit have taken over to continue to spread the message of “loving your neighbor” taught by Jesus by helping international and low-income families to get settled into their new community.
On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Please use the buttons at the top of this page to request, return, or donate furniture! We ask for two weeks notice. We are a non-profit run by volunteers, so our primary means of service is through our monthly Serve Days. Delivery dates are limited.

“When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.”
